Movie Slow, perfectly imperfect, despite of its flaws (and it has a few of them), ‘Seven Pounds’ knows how to catch the audience.

I just re-re-watched ‘Seven Pounds’ by the Italian Filmmaker Gabriele Muccino with Will Smith and Rosario Dawson in main roles. Three screenings, three times I empty the Kleenex box, three times this film gets me badly.

Slow (and sometimes a little bit confusing), boring, some might say, the film can’t be a hit for everyone. But you know what? This slowness is an essential part of the story. Actors and Director are all into something deep, sincere. Something that needs time to be developed smartly to be achieved, kind of like the ripeness of a fruit.

This movie tells a lot, a lot of things about life, hope and self-giving love. This film could maybe belong to this small category of movies that stay with us and go along our entire life, despite the few lacks and imperfections.

These films meet the needs of people who watch them. A strong story, an amazing acting, a smart and brilliant directing and, on top of that, a pretty decent soundtrack are the ingredients of the recipe to hit a winner.

‘Seven Pounds’ has got them all. A story of giving, sacrifice with purpose. In 2 hours, Gabriele Muccino succeeds making his web so that he’ll leave us with a clean knock-out of emotional tears, awe and wonder. Enthralling. Romantic. Yes just brilliant.
